Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct physical exams and establish medical histories to determine donor suitability.
  • Build positive relationships with donors to enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Maintain donor and staff confidentiality.
  • Educate donors on potential hazards and health information.
  • Address donor injuries and manage adverse events effectively.
  • Evaluate medical histories and medication usage to ensure ongoing donor suitability.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.
  • Requirements :

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Active CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Additional Attributes Needed :

  • Ability to perform tasks while standing and sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Capability to bend, twist, and move hands and feet frequently.
  • Light lifting skills (up to 50 lbs), with good hearing and vision.
  • Excellent communication skills to relay complex information effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing demands.
  • Willingness to work in a plasma center with potential exposure to biological materials.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment.
