Summary :

The Manager, Cardiology Acute Care Advanced Practice Providers, under the direction of the Director of Cardiology Acute Care and Ambulatory Advanced Practice Providers within the Heart & Vascular Institute, ensures quality clinical care and effective operations for the cardiology nurse practitioner and physician assistant inpatient service at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. The responsible individual will demonstrate and promote our mission, values, and service excellence behaviors, creating and maintaining a culture that embraces and successfully achieves exceptional outcomes in patient safety and quality, patient experience, and team member satisfaction. Role is 75% clinical / 25% administrative.

Responsibilities :

1. Coordinates work schedules and manages coverage for 24 / 7 inpatient cardiology service, including participating in the hiring, training, professional development, rewards, goals, and performance evaluation processes for the cardiology inpatient APPs.  Collaborates with Director of Cardiology Acute Care and Ambulatory APPs and HR to recruit, develop, and maintain a high-functioning, patient-centered team. (40%)

2. Assists with execution of operational objectives and organizational strategic priorities, identifying clinical and operational needs and working collaboratively to implement continuous improvement opportunities. (15%)

3. Helps develop, monitor, and modify protocols, procedures, and processes to enhance patient care and improve workflows. (15%)

4. Works with clinical leadership to adopt and implement quality initiatives and outcome reporting processes. (15%)

5. Effectively communicates with colleagues across the system.  Participates in HVI, hospital, ambulatory, and / or network-focused operational and clinical committees as relevant and appropriate. (15%)

6. Maintains and models Nuvance Health Values.

7. Performs other duties as required.
