Job Description
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at the Omni San Diego is responsible for ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while meeting Omni Standards in our Food and Beverage Outlets and Banquet events.
Responsible for maintaining Omni’s high guest service standards by consistently providing efficient, friendly and professional service while interacting with Hotel guests on a daily basis to increase awareness of offerings in Fres.
Co, West Coast Social and the Pool Terrace. The Omni San Diego hotel has 511 guest rooms and is located adjacent to Petco Park.
Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Outlets, Banquet Manager and Director of Food and Beverage in the day to day operation of the Food and Beverage Outlets & Banquet events.
Accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously. Follow up with designated Hotel personnel to ensure completion of request.
Assist in properly training staff to execute Omni service standards.
Accurately communicate new menu items and promotions to staff.
Communicate with guests and solicit their feedback, address issues as needed.
Observe staff interactions with guests; train and correct staff as needed.
Review and understand financial information.
Manage with monthly Beverage inventory of Fres.Co, Ace Porter, Tortuga as directed.
Accurately maintain a cash bank.
Interact with other departments as needed to ensure guest needs are satisfied.
Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all Hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
Close out Banquet Event Orders / checks at the end of events.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age (alcohol service).
Ability and willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability and willingness to maintain a current Food Handlers and RBS certification. Both certifications are required.
Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English with guests, vendors and staff is required.
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations (cash handling) is required.
Keen attention to detail, ability to multitask and strong organizational skills are required.
Previous food and beverage experience is required.
Previous supervisory experience is required.
Pay : $61,296.00 - 67,691.00 / annually. Position is overtime eligible manager. The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay.
