Lead engineering and execution of large and small projects supporting Facilities Engineering and Construction for the NNSS.Serve as Control Account Manager (CAM) for design projects, managing cost, schedule, and technical performance.Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering aspects of schedule, scope, and budget across multiple disciplines and construction.Prepare designs, procurement documents, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.Develop and modify designs; prepare cost estimates and material take-offs.Provide technical advice to project personnel, management, and customers.Mentor engineering staff and deliver training on processes and best practices.Participate in project development, including proposal and planning to meet customer needs.Apply knowledge across multiple technical disciplines to achieve effective solutions.Perform additional duties as directed by management.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering program (ABET) or equivalent STEM degree; for architects NCARB certification is required. Professional Engineer license is desirable.At least 9 years of relevant project engineering experience.Demonstrated experience in design, construction support, and complex coordination.Ability to interpret codes and standards within the discipline.DOE complex work experience preferred.Team leadership experience and strong team-player skills.Project Management experience preferred.Proficient in Primavera P6 EPPM or equivalent; solid understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).Valid driver's license; pre-placement physical exam and drug screen required. Background and security clearance are needed.Other Information
Annual salary range : $119,246.40 – $181,854.40.
The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility, North Las Vegas, Nevada. Work at the Nevada National Security Site (65 mi northwest of Las Vegas) may also be required.
Work schedule : 4 / 10 days, Monday–Thursday (subject to change).
DOE Q-level security clearance (or required level) is mandatory. There is a federal background investigation and security clearance process. Pre-employment drug test is mandatory.
