Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
You will work with individuals of all ages who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems and develop personalized treatment plans to enhance their quality of life within their comfort of their home!
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Design and implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities.
- Educate patients and their families on how to perform various tasks and manage their condition.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely.
- Stay current with the latest occupational therapy research and practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and plan for future treatment.
- Advocate for patients' rights and access to necessary resources and support services.
- Conduct community outreach and education to promote awareness of occupational therapy services.
Minimum Requirements :
- At least one year of Home Health experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Florida state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Valid Driver License.
Working Conditions :
- Part-time position with typical work hours, though some evening or weekend work may be required.
- Work primarily in a clinical setting, with some home visits or community outreach as needed.
- Physical demands include lifting and positioning patients, and moving equipment.
