Come join our J5 team, and work on a combined adult and pediatric medical surgical unit. Our nurses have been the recipients of many Daisy awards including the Team Daisy Award.
We have an established unit practice council and have a dedicated Clinical Nursing Educator. J5 is a 26-bed adult medical / surgical unit combined with a thirteen-bed pediatric unit.
The pediatric area specializes in the delivery of comprehensive medical and surgical care of the pediatric patient from neonate to 18 years of age.
The most frequent medical diagnoses for adult medical patients are COPD Pneumonia Uncontrolled diabetes and sequelae AKI Sepsis Cellulitis Diverticulitis Abdominal pain weakness / fall
The most frequent medical diagnoses for pediatric patients are asthma bronchiolitis pneumonia UTI abdominal pain dehydration cellulitis behavioral fever
Pediatrics is affiliated with Boston Childrens Hospital and is supported by Boston Childrens physicians.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Pediatric Life Support (PALS) preferred.
Pediatric experience preferred
