Superior Healthcare Management is hiring an experienced Long-Term Care Biller / Business Office Manager to join our team!

Primary Purpose of this Position

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the day-to-day bookkeeping function of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting practices overseeing a 275-bed facility.

Hours : Monday through Friday, Hourly

Wage : $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Location : On-Site *This is not a remote position*

Experience : Must have, as a minimum, at least 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting practices. Experience in healthcare accounting preferred.

Education : Must possess, as a minimum, a high-school diploma or its equivalent.

Responsibilities Include :

Generate and submit accurate billing statements for services rendered to residents.

Review patient records to ensure proper documentation and coding for billing purposes.

Verify insurance coverage and process claims promptly to facilitate timely reimbursement.

• Collaborate with residents, families, and insurance companies to resolve billing inquiries and disputes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance regulations and requirements
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims to ensure timely payment.
• Prepare and reconcile financial reports related to billing activities for management review.
• Assist with financial audits and compliance assessments as needed.
• Collection of private and income monies owed to the facility.
• Distribute resident funds
• Inputting of census information into billing and clinical software
• Other duties as required

Requirements :

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Must be competent with Windows operating system, accounting software and, EMR system and spreadsheets. Must possess the ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports.
