The department of Psychology is accepting applications for Temporary, Part-time Instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to clinical psychology or school psychology.
Duties include teaching face-to-face and / or online classes days, evenings or weekends as scheduled and being available to students by holding appropriate office hours.
In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment.
The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment.
Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists. In the event that you are interviewed but not immediately hired, your application will remain in the departments pool of qualified faculty.

- Experience supervising graduate students in field activities and placements.
- Prior college-level teaching experience.
Job Description TEACHING AND PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES : A Temporary, part-time instructor is responsible for teaching graduate courses such as psychological assessment, consultation, classroom interventions or related courses in school psychology or graduate courses related to psychotherapy, cognitive / cognitive- behavioral / group therapy, psychopathology, and development.
At the undergraduate level, courses include general psychology, developmental psychology, applied behavior analysis, abnormal psychology, counseling, and other related courses.
Part-time faculty members shall maintain a prorated number of office hours each week, at a minimum of twenty-five minutes for each workload hour taught, at such days, times and locations as will accommodate the needs of the students.
This position requires in-person instruction on Millersville University’s campus. This position is contingent upon sufficient enrollments in assigned classes.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION : The Department of Psychology provides excellence in teaching, advisement and mentoring towards developing competent and responsible citizens who ably apply psychological principles in their workplaces, in their studies, in their communities and in their lives.
Through learning experiences in and out of the classroom, our undergraduate program prepares students who are well-versed in psychological theories and scientific methodologies and who demonstrate cultural sensitivity and embrace a variety of points of view.
The faculty is committed to preparing students to make informed choices among options that include entering the workplace in human service, business, or industrial settings as well as pursuing graduate study.
At the graduate level, our programs seek to prepare ethically informed practitioners who have the knowledge base, technical and relationship skills, cultural sensitivity, and professional dispositions to collaboratively work with diverse populations in the community as school counselors, school psychologists, and clinicians.
We seek to develop caring practitioners who apply critical thinking skills as they engage in the best practices of their professions.
There are currently 15 full-time faculty and 8 part-time faculty who teach at the undergraduate and / or the graduate level.
The vast majority of the courses are offered face-to-face.
