Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician will take care of minor maintenance duties involving carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that accounts are safely maintained.
Repairs and maintains cleaning equipment, mowers, tractors and snow equipment as well as company vehicles. Any tasks found to be beyond the scope of minor tasks are reported to management.
Must have strong time management and problem solving skills and a sense of urgency. This position reports to the VP of Support Services
POSITION REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs various preventative maintenance functions on equipment and vehicles.
- Must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends.
- Completes work orders timely and completes required records and reports.
- Maintains tools and ensures they are in good working condition.
- Inspects, maintains equipment and suggest improvements as needed. Reports questionable conditions.
- Performs minor building, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary
- Adhere to all applicable safety practices.
- Attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people's information.
- Promote and exhibit Company culture and values.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2 to 3 years of experience in general maintenance and repair work. Trade License a plus.
- Strong initiative, follow-up, desire to succeed and a sense of urgency
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient skills in operating hand tools and power equipment
- Ability to work independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
- Vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
