Job Summary
The UCSF Center for Advancing Dyadic Care in Pediatrics (CADP) is seeking an experienced licensed behavioral health professional to serve as part of the leadership team of the Technical Assistance Center.
This role reports directly to the Technical Assistance Manager and is responsible for managing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the training and workforce capacity building services provided by CADP.
Successful candidates will provide a combination of clinical and administrative leadership and supervision, advising to the CADP and administration of the Center, technical assistance to primary care clinics aspiring to implement dyadic / early childhood integrated behavioral health service models, which requires analyzing and resolving complex problems, interpreting policies, and demonstrating solid subject matter expertise.
They also provide staff supervision to assure accountability and stewardship of departmental resources and in compliance with the CADP goals and objectives.
This position provides a portion of direct patient care to families with children ages 0-5 as part of a pediatric integrated behavioral health clinic at ZSFG.

Department Description
The UCSF Center for Advancing Dyadic Care in Pediatrics ("CADP") is an initiative to support the expansion of early childhood / family integrated behavioral health services into Medi-Cal serving pediatric primary care settings across California.
Our mission is to make preventative, family-centered behavioral and social health supports available to all families with young children in California.
Our vision is to increase access to equity promoting, preventative services by making dyadic, infant, and early childhood behavioral health supports available during pregnancy and early well child care.
By destigmatizing behavioral health care and intervening early, we aim to transform the way in which pediatric healthcare is delivered in California and mitigate child health disparities created by systemic inequities.

CADP is a program of the UCSF at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital's Division of Integrated Behavioral Health. The Division of Integrated Behavioral Health is part of the ZSFG Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
The Division provides behavioral health consultation, triage, assessment, intervention, psychotherapy, linkage, and treatment recommendations to inpatient and outpatient medical clinics at ZSFG.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in related area and minimum five years of experience including three in a led / supervisory role, or equivalent experience / training.
- Knowledge of psychiatric service operations and ability to apply concepts in an acute care setting.
- Experience working within pediatric and / or family medicine primary care settings
- Knowledge of medical center, HR and UC policies and processes. Knowledge of relevant psychiatric health services internal policies and external regulations.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills to guide behavioral health providers on treatment methods for serious mental health disorders.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and execute plans to meet deadlines.
- Organizational skills for coordinating staff schedules and unit operations.
- Knowledge of business software, specialized applications and EHR systems used in behavioral health clinics / clinical departments.
- Ability to ensure patient care service standards are consistently met; assists staff with managing challenging patient interactions with sensitivity and skill.
- Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software. Comprehensive knowledge of organization's patient record system to teach others.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication. Demonstrated active listening, persuasion and counseling skills.
- Advanced skills in collaborating with heath care providers in a multi-disciplinary setting
- Interpersonal skills to effectively work well with others to achieve common goals. Customer service orientation to quickly address questions or issues
- Experience and knowledge about infant and early child growth and development, perinatal mental health, parent-child relationships, child health, and family systems.
- Demonstrated competency working with low-income, culturally diverse populations.
- Demonstrated excellence in reliability and attendance.
- Must be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of human resources management practices and policies.
- Proficient to provide clinical services in Spanish
- Experience working with pregnant, perinatal and postpartum patients with complex mental health conditions and substance use disorders
License / Certification
Licensed in a psychiatric behavioral health discipline
