Teller

Alternatives FCU is seeking a Teller to join our Member Services Team in Rochester, NY.   Alternatives is a Community Development Financial Institute (CDFI) credit union serving Tompkins and surrounding counties, and is proud to find solutions for those left behind by the mainstream financial institutions. CDFIs share a common goal of expanding economic opportunity in low-income communities by providing access to fair financial products and services for local residents and businesses.

At Alternatives FCU, our mission is to help build and protect wealth for people with diverse identities who have been historically marginalized by the financial industry; especially those with low wealth or who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC). This mission is rooted in a deep commitment to equity and justice.

In this role, you'll work with a supportive, cross-functional team to serve our members. You will provide customer service to members by assisting with transactions, explaining products and offering solutions. Applicants should be available to work full time, until 6 : 30 pm on weekdays and two Saturdays (at overtime rate) per month.
