About The Position
Job Title : Rad Tech Job Specialty : Echo Cardiography - Cardiac Cath Lab Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8H Days (8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : ARDMS, Compact RN License Certifications : BLS (AHA required) Must-Have : Ability to scan adult patients;
pediatrics experience is a plus but not required Job Description : Provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for disorders of the respiratory, cardiac, and vascular systems.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to develop patient care plans.- Educate patients and family members on procedures and care plans.
- Perform complete cardiac echo on adults; pediatric scanning is a plus.- Operate various ultrasound imaging systems, physiologic Doppler systems, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Interact with patients and families, ensuring developmentally appropriate care and cultural sensitivity.- Report to the Leader of Cardiopulmonary.
- Knowledge of anatomy of cardiac and vascular systems, ultrasound physics, and instrumentation.- Graduation from an approved school of Allied Health Field with additional training in ultrasound.
- Preference for knowledge of AIC accreditation. Physical Demands : Push ultrasound machines for portable studies.- Position ultrasound transducers in awkward locations during lengthy exams.
Essential Interactions : Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff to develop patient care plans.- Engage with hospital staff for services, supplies, and other functions essential to the Cardiopulmonary Department.
