Position Overview : We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The Special Education Teacher will play an integral role in providing personalized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is mitted to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the academic and personal growth of all students.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and support staff.
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, including academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs and abilities of each student, using evidence-based practices and instructional strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective implementation of IEP goals and acmodations in the general education setting.
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies as needed to support student growth and achievement.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress, identify areas of need, and determine eligibility for special education services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities to support continuous improvement and collaboration.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid Oregon teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Strong munication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
