Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for an exceptional patient focused Cardiology Scheduling Specialist to join our Cardiology department and make a difference for our patients and our community.
The Cardiology Scheduling Specialist will provide patient appointment scheduling, reception, clerical and customer service functions to all patients, visitors, and employees.
These functions include scheduling appointments and surgical procedures, patient reception, appointment check-in, insurance verification and other related duties as assigned.
This work may vary in percentage of time per function, location, and schedule.
Work Schedule : Monday through Friday. 8 AM to 4 : 30 PM.
Required Qualifications
Two years of experience in a direct customer / patient service position and computer / data entry required OR 1 year of experience in Cardiology Department consistently demonstrating proficiency in Cardiology scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of a formal training program in medical reception, an equivalent program, or a customer service program preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with electronic medical record.
- Competency in medical terminology and health care business environment.
