About The Position
- Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Operating Room Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift, 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 00), weekends required (either Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon), on-call Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours Experience : Minimum of 2 years RN experience;
- 1 year in specialty License : WV or Compact RN License required; pending license acceptable Certifications : BLS required;
certifications must be through the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Experience in Circulate and Scrub roles - Proficiency in Cardiac and General Surgery, Vascular, Thoracic, Robotics - Skills in vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting Job Description : Work in the Operating Room as a Registered Nurse with scheduled shifts of 3x12-hour days, including weekends.
- Orientation provided every other week with 16 hours of non-billable orientation and modules completed prior to start.- Participate in on-call duties, with a 30-minute response time, covering 1 day of call per week and 1-2 weekends per 4-5 week schedule.
- Required to work major holidays on emergencies only, covered by call shifts.- Maintain skills in various specialties including Vascular, Orthopedic, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Robotics, and Gynecology.
- Proficiency in specific procedures such as AV fistulas / grafts, aortic surgeries / bypasses, total joints, colorectal surgeries, and more.
- Responsible for assisting in surgeries, providing patient care, and ensuring proper surgical protocols are followed.- Adhere to vaccination requirements, including mandatory flu shots during the flu season.
- Work in a major teaching hospital, participating in a structured and professional medical environment.
