County of Santa Clara Health System (CSCHS), a large public teaching healthcare system, affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, is seeking one full-time BC / BE Neurologist physician with vascular or neurointensive care fellowship training, to join our dynamic practice in our Department of Neurology at O'Connor Hospital (OCH) and one full-time BC / BE Neurologist physician, preferably with an epilepsy fellowship training, to join us at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC).

Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH), an agency of CSCHS, is comprised of three hospitals : Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC - a 731-bed central hospital), O’Connor Hospital (OCH - 358 licensed beds), and Saint Louise Regional Hospital (SLRH 93 licensed beds).

SCVMC also features a Level 1 Trauma Center, Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, ABA verified Burn Center, Primary Stroke Center, and a nationally recognized CARF-accredited Rehabilitation Center.
Providers in our health system also have the opportunity to use our integrated electronic health record (Epic), which brings together system-wide patient information.
The Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) recognized SCVMC for achieving its highest level of success (Stage 7), based on our continuous innovation and optimization of our inpatient and outpatient EHR.

About the Department of Neurology
Our Department of Neurology provides inpatient consultative services and outpatient care to a diverse patient population seeking healthcare at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and O’Connor Hospital which are less than 2 miles from each other.
Physicians joining our department will discover a collaborative work atmosphere and substantial support from various specialties within our extensive integrated healthcare system.
About the Positions
O'Connor Hospital
The ideal candidate will have a vascular or neuro-intensive fellowship training. The ability to read and interpret EEG and EMG studies is preferred but not required.
Experience in the diagnosis and management of acute stroke is required. This full-time position will primarily be based at O’Connor Hospital (a primary stroke center) and will collaborate closely with other department members and key stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality care across our health system as we implement a thrombectomy ready and ultimately comprehensive stroke center at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
Santa Clara Valley Medical Center
This position requires clinical experience in managing acute stroke patients. The preferred candidate will have epilepsy fellowship training, will be able to work well with other departments and provide direct supervision of residents.
