Mortgage Loan Processor
Description
The Mortgage Loan Processor performs a variety of duties both clerical and technical; major responsibilities include coordinating the processing of mortgage loans following application, through preparation of loan documents for closing.
- Orders and reviews all documentation, i.e., verification of income, verification of employment, credit report, appraisal, survey, title commitment, etc.
- Contacts borrower and other sources to collect necessary documentation
- Acts as a liaison between origination staff, underwriters, outside escrow, title company, and customers
- Checks information submitted by loan applicants for accuracy and adherence to established underwriting criteria and regulations
- Works with the processing team to ensure files are moving through the system
- Checks loan file to ensure that it contains all necessary documents, signatures, dates and other important information
- Builds and maintains relationships with clients to ensure a constant pipeline of mortgage files
Qualifications :
- 4-6 years of loan processing experience
- High School diploma or GED
Skills :
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word; basic keyboarding and calculator skills; must be able to do simple math
and carry out written instructions.
- Travel to a variety of locations to perform work and / or attend meetings as required
- Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position
- Must be able to travel regularly from location to location
- Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30 lbs.
