Responsible for contributing to the design, development and testing of electrical equipment, components, or systems in conformance with the company and customer specifications and objectives in both machine safeguarding and combustion design. Travel may be needed at time when starting up systems, the work schedule is 8am - 5pm M-F.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
▪ Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs. ▪ Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. ▪ Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. ▪ Completes drawing designs as required to facilitate the engineering process. ▪ Collaborates with engineers, customers, vendors and other stakeholders on existing and potential engineering projects. ▪ Work closely with vendors in determining the appropriate supplies and equipment necessary for the project. ▪ Provides technical support, knowledge, and assistance to both internal and external customers.
▪ Coordinates engineering tasks to meet quality, budget, and completion date expectations. ▪ Complies with all quality and safety regulations.
▪ Other duties and functions as required to meet business demands.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED ▪ Ability to interpret and create technical CAD drawings and schematics ▪ Ability to understand and design modern safety control systems
▪ Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking and time management skills ▪ Requires strong communication, analytical, and planning skills
▪ Must be able to work effectively both independently and with a team
▪ Able to demonstrate strong technical and problem-solving skills
REQUIREMENTS
▪ A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
▪ A minimum of 3 years of experience in the engineering field
▪ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
▪ Experience using SolidWorks Electrical and / or Auto CAD Electrical Software
