Job Description : We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Tax Associate to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in tax accounting.
The successful candidate will work five days a week in our downtown Boston office, collaborating with a team of experienced professionals and gaining hands-on experience in various tax-related functions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
- Assist in tax planning and research to identify potential tax savings opportunities
- Conduct thorough tax research and stay current on tax laws and regulations
- Support the preparation of tax provisions and financial statements
- Respond to tax notices and assist with tax audits and inquiries
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation
- Provide excellent client service and build strong client relationships
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 1-2 years of tax experience in public accounting or a related field
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
