Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift assignment in a hospital setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Hospital setting with diagnostic imaging including portable, C-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures
  • Friday to Sunday night shifts, hours either 8 : 00 PM to 6 : 00 AM or 9 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Includes on-call and holiday rotation
  • Responsible for both adult and emergent patient populations
  • Use of radiology information systems and PACS required
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures as assigned
  • Provide patient education and ensure patient safety during all procedures
  • Operate and adjust imaging equipment and exposure factors following ALARA principles
  • Assist with medical record and image sharing and maintain proper documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Support and provide instruction to new technologists and radiography students
  • Coordinate patient and staff schedules as needed
  • Assist radiologists in special x-ray and fluoroscopic procedures
  • Dress code and scrub requirements are determined by department guidelines

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 2 years of radiologic technologist experience required
  • Current ARRT(R) certification required
  • Illinois IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Expert-level knowledge of electronic medical records, PACS, and imaging equipment
  • License required if applicable
