An exciting opportunity is available for a Director of Nursing to join a large social services agency in Queens. This role involves overseeing nursing operations and will require travel between Queens and Nassau locations.

• Participates and follows through on recommendations from committees as assigned (i.e., Training Committee, IRC, BRC and Directors Committee).
• Assumes basic responsibilities during RN vacancy to include report writing, incident reporting, and attendance at review meetings.
• Responds to emergency situations via 24 hours, Monday Friday on-call status.

Job Requirements :

• Minimum of five years of nursing experience with three of those years in the ID / DD field, required.
• Previous training and Quality Assurance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience working with people with Autism is preferred
