Summary :
Under the supervision of the Director of Physical Therapy,the Occupational Therapist has the responsibility andaccountability for assessing, planning, evaluating and implementingcare for the patients assigned occupational therapy.
TheOccupational Therapist is responsible for adhering to all standardsof Occupational Therapy Practice Act as they apply to providingtechnical therapy care, supplies, equipment and interventions to adesignated patient population.
This position provides clinicaloversight and assistance of COTA’s who are caring for one of theOccupational Therapist’s patients.
Per the Departments Scope ofPractice, this position requires providing services to TherapyPatients, ages between pediatric to geriatric in a manner thatdemonstrates an understanding of the functional / developmental ageof the individuals served.
Requirements :
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accreditedOccupational Therapy school.
- English required;bilingual preferred.
- Excellent written andoral communication skills.
- Rehabilitativeexperience preferred.
- Certifications in NDT,metronome, Big and Loud preferred.
- CurrentLouisiana OT License required.
- CurrentBLS Card required.
