About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Tech Job Specialty : OR Tech Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour days plus call Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Required Certifications : BLS Must-Have : - Experience in various surgical procedures due to the absence of specialized teams for each service line Job Description : - Work in a department with 7 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites.
- Handle common cases involving adults, geriatrics, pediatrics, obstetrics, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, gynecology, general surgery, and Davinci robotics.
- Collaborate with a charge nurse on each shift who does not carry an assigned workload.- Commit to a 0630-1500 schedule with staff working 5 days a week.
- Handle call requirements with one night per week, every 5th or 6th weekend (Saturday / Sunday), and rotating holiday calls.
- Float as needed to Pre / Post-op and ER for trauma cases.- Wear provided scrub colors according to the dress code.- Participate in one week of department-specific orientation in the OR.
- Join a team with a strong sense of camaraderie and dedication to safety, where flexibility, teamwork, and educational sharing are valued.
- Work within a 50-mile radius restriction for candidates not actively employed in any capacity by associated facilities.
- Request time off (RTO) upfront for no more than 7 days within the 13-week contract; additional requests post-submission will not be approved.
- Utilize EPIC charting system.
