Job description

Provide specialized wound care treatment to patients in a medical office or clinical setting.

  • Assess and evaluate wounds to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
  • Clean and dress wounds using sterile techniques.
  • Monitor and document wound healing progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
  • Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient needs.
  • Administer medications and perform procedures such as dermal fillers, spinal taps, and phlebotomies as required.
  • Provide care for patients of all ages, including infants, toddlers, and adults.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols.

Experience :

  • Must be a Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Wound Care Nurse or in a related field.
  • Proficiency in wound assessment, treatment, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of different wound types and appropriate interventions.
  • Familiarity with the use of specialized wound care products and equipment.
  • Experience working in a medical office, hospital, or assisted living facility preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of clinical research related to wound care is a plus.
