Siemens Energy in Tampa is looking for an Industrial\nEngineer in the field Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement to join\nour Blades and Vanes Division! This role is pivotal in enhancing operational\nefficiency, elevating product quality, and spearheading innovative practices.\nYou will support an enthusiastic team and work collaboratively across different\ndepartments to pinpoint improvement opportunities, apply industry-best\npractices, and nurture a culture of continuous enhancement, using your deep\nknowledge in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies combining with Digitalization\nsolutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Determining manufacturing times and evaluating production\nprocesses using established time measurement methodologies.
  • Identifying improvement potentials during time studies.
  • Support in the creation of work plans and work instructions\nfor manufacturing as well as production design.
  • Ownership of router accuracy and updates.
  • Creation of planning time modules for planning and\ncalculations.
  • Support in implementing the Lean concept, including value\nstream analyses, tact and cycle time analyses.
  • Preparation of reports and presentations to demonstrate\nproject progress and results.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or\na related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience,\nideally in “make / engineer to order manufacturing,” with a strong track record\nin leading and supporting Lean projects.
  • Expertise in time management (REFA, MTM), time recordings,\nand material flow, along with professional experience in production planning,\nindustrial engineering, or work planning.
  • Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings, excellent\nspatial visualization skills, and sophisticated knowledge of ERP / MES systems.
  • In-depth understanding of Lean methodologies, including\nValue Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, and TPM, as well as Six Sigma techniques such\nas statistical analysis, experimental design, and control charts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a data-driven\ndecision-making approach, cost awareness in manufacturing components, and a goal-oriented\nmindset.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)\nwith the ability to collaborate effectively, influence stakeholders at all\nlevels, and build strong internal and external partnerships.
  • Proven success in implementing Lean and Six Sigma\ntransformations and driving continuous improvement programs in dynamic,\nfast-paced environments.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the\nUnited States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work\nauthorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be\neligible for internal transfers.
