Job Title : Special Education Teacher
Location : Edgewater, CO Area
Position : Full-Time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Design and implement specialized instruction in one-on-one, small group, and large classroom settings.
- Collaborate with general educators to plan and modify curriculum, ensuring inclusive and effective teaching practices.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review behavioral plans for designated students to support their individual needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to conduct IEP and referral meetings, fostering a comprehensive approach to each student's educational development.
- Maintain ongoing communication with regular educators, school staff, students, and parents to ensure a cohesive support system.
- Create a safe, supportive, and understanding environment that promotes the growth and well-being of students with disabilities.
Qualifications :
- Valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License required.
- Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective instructional strategies tailored to individual student needs.
