Job Details

Position : IBM WebSphere MQSeries (MQ) Infrastructure Engineering

Location : Southfield, MI

Duration : 6-12 Months

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills :

  • Experience automating, configuring, installing MQ or other middleware
  • Experience using monitoring tools to configure MQ ie.Tivoli
  • Experience in the installation and configuration of MQ or similar middleware products on Linux, AIX, Solaris, Windows Server and AS / 400

Technical Skills : Experience in automating the install / config of MQ or similar middleware products, using Linux, AIX, Solaris and Windows Server scripts.

Nice to have technical skills :

  • Experience in the development of applications that use MQ, using the standard MQ APIs (Connect, Open, Put, Get)
  • Experience using Tivoli-Omegamon or similar enterprise monitoring tools, preferably to monitor and configure MQ

    • Other Skills :

  • A do-whatever-it-takes attitude and work ethic
  • A strong desire to continually deepen MQ expertise
  • A strong desire to learn all tangential technologies and processes involved with supporting MQ
  • A strong team player and a desire to mentor and train less experienced team members
