CAD Technician
Mi-Tech offers a broad range of professional, engineering and technical services to the telecommunications and power delivery markets.
We have a current opening for a CAD Technician. At Mi-Tech, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all of our services, which include : Communications Design Services, Energy Distribution Services, Utility Pole Inspection, and Environmental Services.
Responsibilities :
- Completion of Utility Plan sets
- Generate land base prints in AutoCAD for use in the field
- Completion of Utility Plan sets in AutoCAD for use in construction
- Complete permit drawings for various permitting authorities
- Compile job books upon project completion
- Import / export various file types to and from AutoCAD
- Responsible for taking field notes, utilizing GPS, and completing plan design for new and existing power and communication facilities
Requirements :
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Applicants must be detail-orientated and have the ability to multi-task
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office and learn new software
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Ability to handle more than one project at a time and to meet deadlines
- Overnight Travel may be required for the completion of job duties
- Valid drivers license
