Hundreds of people strong, with a substantial presence in five countries, the Global Ads P&E team is a dynamic and complex organization, operating across a broad spectrum of product and strategic domains.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Writer to join our Samsung Ads team. As a Technical Writer, you will be charged with research, consolidation, and organization of information in a clear and easily understandable format for both internal and external audiences.

Technical Writers scale how we educate software users, document complex processes, and curate information.

The Technical Writer produces and maintains documentation that includes product documentation, user guides, as well as manages and maintains our publications in our various knowledge bases.

You’ll own the management of end-to-end documentation processes including authoring, editing, reviewing, publishing and maintaining content including monitoring metrics on the usage and feedback of documentation.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work with product managers, engineers, and other organizational stakeholders to produce and maintain world-class documentation, including : User Guides, API Developer Guides, In-Platform documentation (UI elements including tooltips, welcome instructions)
• Learn complex concepts, and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users
• Build and maintain content that goes beyond traditional documentation, such as online video, demos, guided tours, and other educational techniques
• Identify problem areas or structural deficiencies and proactively contribute to their improvement
• Creating documentation for reporting, data analytics, and reference documentation for our DSP help center.
• Enhance reference materials with Application and Use Case information to provide additional context for end users.
• Liaise with the support team to collect additional insights regarding user pain points.
• Build frequently asked questions for support and end users.
• Adoption of style guide and incorporate brand standards into copy
• Work independently on monitoring and closing Jira tickets related to feature documentation
• Publish and maintain templates for written documentation
• Manage the end-to-end documentation process including authoring, editing, reviewing, publishing and maintaining content
• Plan, schedule, and track documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables
• Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability
• Using Pendo Digital Adoption Platform create user guides and tool tip text
• Monitor metrics on the usage of documentation

Skills and Qualifications

• At least eight years of proven experience as a Technical Writer, with a significant focus body of professional experience working in Advertising Technology or Ad Serving platforms at scale
• Proven ability to develop comprehensive and accurate documentation
• Flexibility to adjust to an evolving role and steady change within our fast-growing company.
• Embrace change and is comfortable with navigating ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Project management experience, accountable for delivery of their own work
• Excellent English written and verbal communications and experience working with content in multiple mediums; other languages are an asset
• Experience working cross-departmentally Track record of effective collaboration
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities
• Appetite to learn with a positive attitude, willing to jump in and tackle new challenges
• Experience working with the following tools preferred : Confluence / JIRA, Git & Github, HTML, Markdown, Content Management Systems, graphical tools
• Working knowledge of basic office tools, including MS Office Google Docs / Drive, Slack

CALIFORNIA ONLY

Compensation for this role is expected to be between $165,000 and $190,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
