Position Overview : We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis.
As an essential member of our educational team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students, providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to enhance their educational experience and quality of life.
The caseload includes students with autism, cerebral palsy (CP), and developmental delay disabilities.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough assessments of students' functional abilities to identify areas for intervention.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the individual needs and goals of each student.
- Provide hands-on therapy sessions to improve students' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living activities within the school environment.
- Collaborate with other educational and healthcare professionals, including teachers, school nurses, and special education staff, to ensure coordinated care and optimal student outcomes.
- Educate students, teachers, and families on therapeutic techniques and strategies to promote independence and enhance overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice occupational therapy in the state of Arizona.
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting, preferably with diverse student populations including autism, CP, and developmental delays.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
