Overview

The Transplant Coordinator is a Registered Nurse with specific knowledge and skills who participates in the coordination of clinical programs and services for designated patient populations within the Transplantation Institute.

Responsibilities

• Development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of clinical programs and services for designated patient populations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinates the multidisciplinary screening and evaluation of patients seen in the transplant practice at MSH and approved satellites. The multidisciplinary team includes the transplant surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, social work, nutrition, pharmacy and finance. Coordinators work with their assistants to facilitate other medical specialty visits as needed.

Supports the mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of the Department of Nursing and The Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Attending and participating in workshops, seminars, and courses as presenter or author.

Collaborates with other members of the health care team in the development, implementation, and ongoing review of policies, procedures, and standards of care for designated patient populations.

Qualifications

NYS RN with BSN and at least 2 years acute care (hospital) nursing exp. Critical care experience preferred.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $107999.99 - $153000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
