Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for coordinating and posting procedures to the operating room schedule including registration of patients, precertification, and clinical / billing data entry. Responsibilities Schedules patient procedures, surgeries, and any additional equipment or resources. Manages the patient procedures from the schedule notification point until the period right before the procedure. Coordinates with case management and physician offices insurance requirements for the surgical procedures. Completes audits of scheduled procedures and surgeries to ensure accuracy. Provides training, answers questions, back-up support to other surgery schedulers.
