Role Purpose
Provides direct care to patients including those with complex behavioral and / or mental health needs under the direction and supervision of a licensed professional nurse.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate skill and judgement necessary to provide safe and effective care to patients including those with complex behavioral and / or mental health needs.
- Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment
- Collects clinical data and information on patients, documents appropriate data, and reports changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
- Uses effective communication skills to collaborate with members of the health care team to provide a safe environment to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provides continual observation, ongoing documentation, and participates in the development of the plan of care for patients with complex behavioral and / or mental health needs.
