Description
The Business Development Manager pursues and develops new and existing clients for industrial automation and engineering services within geographic territories and select accounts.
Identifies, assesses and qualifies engineering services opportunities and serves as the liaison with our customer throughout the sales cycle;
from initial call through design, sale, delivery, installation, acceptance and follow through .
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and develop business opportunities and relationships with new and existing accounts
- Collaborate with engineering team to developing material and system solutions based on customer needs
- Deliver awareness of AMT deliverables via formal presentations that build confidence with clients
- Perform required tasks to support the bidding and execution of projects
- Maintain and develop knowledge on a wide variety of material handling and automation solutions
- Maintain and develop knowledge of the competition
- Act as the principal customer liaison
- Support and actively pursue marketing efforts to build brand awareness
Minimum Skills & Abilities
- Computer proficiency; strong knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in CRM utilization for account and opportunity management. Hubspot CRM is a plus
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BSEE / BSME.) from four-year college or university and five to seven years of related robotic automation systems sales experience or equivalent training and experience
