LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Field Service Technician for our client in Maspeth, NY.
This role involves hands-on expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pumps and fans for various industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring these systems operate efficiently and safely, making a significant impact on the overall functionality of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Installation : Precisely install pumps and fans according to industry and manufacturer standards, setting up necessary piping, electrical connections, and other components for maximum performance and safety.
Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance to extend equipment lifespan, including inspection, lubrication, cleaning, and parts replacement.
Repair : Diagnose and resolve issues in pumps and fans, addressing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions to minimize system downtime.
Calibration : Ensure equipment accuracy by calibrating pumps and fans, adjusting settings, and verifying against established specifications.
Safety Compliance : Follow safety protocols, utilizing PPE and maintaining a safe work environment.
Documentation : Maintain accurate service records, equipment logs, and documentation of repair activities, including detailed photos.
Customer Service : Interact professionally with clients, addressing technical concerns, explaining repairs, and providing support for both pumps and fans.
Training & Knowledge Sharing : Stay updated on advancements in pump and fan technology and share best practices with team members.
Attention to Detail : Carefully execute tasks to ensure high-quality, accurate work, avoiding issues like leaks or faulty setups.
Overtime Flexibility : Be prepared to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays for urgent repairs or scheduled maintenance.
Physical Requirements :
Physical Labor : Ability to lift, carry, and manage equipment weighing up to 75 lbs and perform tasks involving bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Work Conditions : Willingness to work in various weather conditions, confined spaces, and at heights with proper safety equipment.
Ergonomics : Commitment to safe lifting techniques and ergonomic practices to prevent injuries.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in pump and fan repair, installation, and maintenance.
Strong technical troubleshooting skills with both mechanical and electrical components.
Commitment to safety and quality in all work tasks.
Excellent communication skills for effective client interactions.
