Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine physician employment in Arizona : Opportunity for a nurse practitioner (NP) to join our team part-time at Banner Baywood in Mesa, Arizona, in the Observation Unit of the emergency department (ED).
This 45-bed ED sees an annual patient volume of 55,000 and has an admission rate of 30 percent, 26-bed observation unit has 24 hours of APC coverage working 10-hour shifts.
This is a fast-paced unit that works in close collaboration with the emergency department, consultants, support staff of the unit, and Banner administrative physicians.
Types of cases include - cardiac, neurological, surgical, medical, and include trauma, overdoses, and even some psychiatric disorders.
There is 24 / 7 supervising physician oversight, and on-site emergency physician and hospitalist in-house coverage. Significant clinical experience in emergency medicine (EM), hospital medicine (HM), cardiology or critical care is required for this position along with an ACLS certification.
