MedAdventures is seeking a local contract Speech Language Pathologist for a local contract job in Plantation, Florida.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Location : Plantation, FL

MedAdventures is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a well-established Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) team in Plantation, FL . This is a great opportunity for an SLP who is passionate about improving communication, cognition, and swallowing function for residents in a long-term care setting.

You'll work alongside a collaborative, interdisciplinary care team to support residents in regaining or maintaining their functional abilities and enhancing their quality of life.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals
  • Collaborate with PTs, OTs, nursing staff, and families to ensure coordinated care
  • Provide caregiver and staff education on communication strategies and safe feeding techniques
  • Document services, progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner

    • Qualifications :

  • Active Florida SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFs considered
  • Experience in a SNF or geriatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
