About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Tech Job Specialty : 5N OR Tech, Operating Room Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 40 hours per week, day / afternoon rotation, 2-8's / 2-12's shifts, 8-12 hours, weekly on-call with 30-minute response time, occasional holidays / weekends Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years in the Operating Room License : Required to submit, willing to wait Certifications : BLS (AHA) Must-Have : - 2 years of experience in OR with strong expertise in Ortho, Neuro, trauma, and robotics- Strong experience with total knee / hips and trauma cases- Familiarity with Level I Trauma Center - 24 / 7 Poly Trauma response Job Description : Perform duties as a Surgical Tech in a facility equipped with 33 total OR suites.
- Provide support for a broad range of service lines including Major Ortho, joints, spines, sports medicine, and trauma.- Assist in Neuro surgeries, including cranial and spine procedures.
- Operate with Xi Robotics in surgical oncology, urology, and GYN.- Support the bariatric program, ENT, ophthalmology, and other surgical services.
- Participate in high-volume case processing, averaging between 80-120 cases per day.- Work collaboratively with different departmental teams, adhering to the guidelines and protocols.
- Maintain readiness for 24 / 7 trauma response, ensuring preparedness for poly-trauma cases.- Efficiently use EPIC charting system for documentation and patient management.
- Adhere to the cancelation policy, limiting cancellations to 2 shifts per 13-week contract.This role suits individuals with comprehensive surgical experience and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic operating environment.
