About this Job
- Upgrade software and tools in support of design for infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, utilities, databases & applications.
- Application development experience in Design, coding, testing, and debugging with mainframe skills such as COBOL, DB2, IMS, JCL, Zeke, File Aid, Changeman, CA7, TWS, and Endevor.
- Monitoring Batch jobs and optimizing database performance.
- Applying security measures to protect the database from unauthorized access.
- Providing technical support to users and developers.
- Support Disaster Recovery Drills.
- Determines hardware compatibility and / or influences hardware design through collaboration across the project team consisting of developers, architects, executive leaders, and other project resources.
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
- Lead the technical workstream to deliver the highest quality results for your client.
- Maintains a hands-on role to ensure deadlines are met and key deliverables are always accurate.
- Serve as a bridge between the client and the technical team to translate complex needs into technical understanding.
- Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for enhancements and new products.
- Infrastructure Build and Configuration Management using tools such as GitHub, ServiceNow, etc.
- Build pipeline automation and packaging using tools such as Jenkins.
