Position Summary :

The HVAC Inside Sales Representative will work cooperatively with outside sales and other members of the distribution team to grow existing customers, create new customers, and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction The HVAC Inside Sales Representative shift provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture.

Essential Functions

  • Establishes trusted advisor status to become a business resource for customers in the relationship selling process.
  • Recognizes different customer types within the supply chain and adjusts approach with each for optimal results.
  • Demonstrates active listening skills to add value to customer and internal interactions.
  • Understands how products work together and proactively offers them to the customer when they call in their orders.
  • Learns and demonstrates competence in features and functionality of all product lines as well as their application in consumer environments.
  • Adds value to customer and internal interactions by understanding the market, customers, suppliers, and competitors.
  • Understands the nuances of competitor product offerings as well as their target audience and strategies on how they reach that audience.
  • Provides market specific product needs and price points.
  • Conveys accurate messages, ideas, and decisions through clear verbal and written communication.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Requires advanced level knowledge of hydronics and hydronic applications.
  • Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Requires the ability to effectively build rapport with both internal and external customers.
  • Requires a positive attitude and ability to function both independently and in a team setting.
  • Must possess strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
  • Must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to communicate in English with regard to the essential functions of the position.

Required Experience and Education :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One or more product / application experience (preferred)
  • Three years of hydronic heating experience.

Physical Demands :

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and / or pull 25 lbs.
  • Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk.
