Job Description Summary
This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of functions including, but not limited to, the following :
- Take and process customer orders for ready-mixed concrete
- Schedule orders and dispatch trucks
- Communicate with customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with all departments
- Organize and send requested reports and / or order information to customers
- Keep the Customer Service / Dispatch Manager and sales department informed of problems or concerns throughout the day that may require their knowledge or attention
- Communicate directly with the Customer Service / Dispatch Manager regarding any available delivery slots when the schedule books up
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Candidate must be energetic and customer friendly with the ability to work in a fast paced team atmosphere that focuses around the customer in the concrete & construction industry.
- Strong computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision
- Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendance
- Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends / holidays, especially during the summer season
- Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Dispatchers, Drivers and other employees
- Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT and all other company or governmental state rules and regulations.
- Pre employment screenings are required.
- Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
Education / Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Dispatch experience is preferred
- Readymix experience is preferred
