Overview

The Program Manager, Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) is responsible for the overall development, management, oversight, and implementation of technical assistance (TA) program activities, to include project initiatives, documents, and program planning.

The primary objective of the AIM program, a federally funded cooperative agreement, is to decrease severe maternal morbidity and mortality by providing resources and TA to make birth safer, improve maternal health outcomes, and save lives.

This is accomplished primarily through quality improvement initiatives that are related to implementation of the AIM Patient Safety Bundles.

Note : This position is considered Hybrid and will need to commute to DC Metro area.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison and serve as the lead point of contact to facilitate TA for states and entities implementing AIM patient safety bundles.
  • Work directly with state clinical and public health leadership, perinatal quality collaboratives and AIM State Teams including at least monthly calls.
  • Manage, implement, and track the development and advancement of AIM TA Center program deliverables and evaluation plans.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage resource development including printed materials, audiovisual learning tools, assist with digital content, working groups, as well as in person and virtual learning opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with external stakeholders, including consultants, vendors, and subrecipients and organizations, participate as needed in conference calls and meetings, communicate policy requirement, and monitor and provide updates on project activities, issues, and or discrepancies.
  • Support, manage, review, and maintain subrecipient budget, contracts, and agreements. Track and invoices for activities, including consultant, contractor, meeting, travel, printing, shipping, and other expenses.
  • Develop, edit, and disseminate communication resources, materials and promotional plans related to assigned program, including social media content and other electronic media resources, newsletters, fact sheets, posters, tool kits, emails, marketing materials for trainings, slides for presentations and other materials as requested by Director, AIM and AIM Digital Content Specialist.
  • Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise to leadership.
  • Implementing and monitoring appropriate meeting, reporting, and activity requirements for subrecipients and consultants.
  • Travel as needed to fulfill outlined activity requirements and represent Aim and ACOG to exhibit, present, network, and site visits.
  • Manage and respond to inquiries from staff, volunteers, members, contractors and partnering organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience with program and project management preferred.
  • Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, and make independent judgments.
  • Strong written and communication skills; experience in workgroup facilitation and editing to generate deliverables or products.
  • Knowledge of and experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of SharePoint, OneDrive, and Airtable preferred.
  • Understanding of basic quality improvement methods and data in healthcare.
  • Understanding of health equity concepts and the role they play in high quality healthcare.

Compensation

The base salary for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, ACOG offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes the perks outlined below.
