Geneva - Advanced Stabilization Unit : Night Watch
Job Description : NIGHT WATCH RESIDENT ADVISOR
Time commitment : 24-29 HOURS PER WEEK
Job Status : Non-Exempt
Job Type : At Will Employee
Starting Wage : $22.00
While this is a Night Watch position, this is not your traditional Night Watch job. You will be required to be awake and alert for your entire shift, as this is a more intensive Night Watch position.
You will not be allowed to work on outside work, including homework and other tasks, during your shift.
We are looking for highly qualified / experienced individuals who can assist adolescents struggling with severe depression, anxiety, behavioral regulation, trauma, and attachment-related issues.
As a youth mentor, your job will be to hold strong boundaries while developing relationships of influence. These relationships will help you inspire, teach, and supervise the adolescents at Geneva.
Our advanced stabilization unit will assist students who are in an advanced state of distress. A peaceful, calm demeanor, despite potentially tumultuous circumstances, is required.
You will help adolescents and their families address challenges and learn skills that will change their lives.
Duties include :
- All duties as outlined in the Geneva Mentor job description
- Initiating and participating in CPI compliant therapeutic holds and restraints
- Primarily responsible for the safety and supervision of dysregulated students
- Assists with resolution of conflict between students
- Communicating closely with program staff and leadership
- Charting observations and interactions to the clinical chart
- Utilizing consultant pattern and relationship continuum
- Assists with medication administration
- Must maintain and hold firm boundaries with dysregulated students
- Assisting with AWOLS, whether or not on shift

- Must have the ability to hold appropriate boundaries with staff and students.
- Must have the ability to receive and carry out instruction.
- Experience working with youth or young adults in the behavioral health field (required)
- Experience as a Mentor / Resident Advisor (required)
- Experience in a residential treatment center (required)
