The Director of Student Success plays a crucial role in orchestrating and overseeing a broad spectrum of student-centered initiatives within The Graduate School to advance overall student success.

The Student Success Program stands as a dynamic and comprehensive endeavor, with a primary focus on supporting the diverse graduate student community.

Its efforts are geared towards bolstering retention rates, promoting wellness, and facilitating timely degree completion for students from varied backgrounds.

In close collaboration with stakeholders across the UNC campus and beyond, the Director of Student Success ensures the effective delivery of programming and outreach efforts.

To maximize the effectiveness of these efforts, the Director actively nurtures existing partnerships while also spearheading the development of innovative initiatives, all with a holistic perspective on student achievement.

The Director of Student Success will play a key role in shaping the student experience and fostering a culture of excellence, support, and achievement.

Education and Experience : -Experience working in higher education, preferably in a role related to student success, such as academic advising, student services, or retention.

  • Experience with graduate student populations. -Strong customer service orientation and be able to work with students, faculty, and staff in a helpful and supportive manner. -PhD preferred.
