Qualifications - External - Pediatric Nursing experience 3-5 years - Current Massachusetts RN License required. - AD with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience or BSN degree in nursing required.

  • Knowledge of IV Therapy Nursing - IV Therapy Nursing experience preferred. - Dedication to both bedside teaching and formal hospital education programs.
  • Ability to multi-task - Ability to develop and support unit-based quality improvement / research projects. - Day / evening / night rotations including weekends and holidays required.

The MGH Vascular Access / IV Therapy team is : - A highly skilled group of nursing professionals who provide a key clinical service to our patients.

  • Members of the health care team collaborate to achieve the universal goal of safe, effective, and appropriate infusion therapy and vascular access.
  • Nurses perform independent nursing interventions related to infusion therapy and vascular access using appropriate clinical reasoning, nursing judgment, and critical decision-making skills.
  • Primary response team for vascular access needs including intraosseous insertions during rapid responses and codes. - RN's are highly valued by the staff nurses whom they support and partner with.
