Data Analyst / Data Curation Specialist - Treble Lab
We are seeking a motivated and skilled master's level student or recent graduate in Human Genetics, Genome Bioinformatics, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field to join our team at the University of Pittsburgh.
Responsibilities :
- Curate (wrangle, clean, and reformat) de-identified phenotype data exported from a large clinical REDCap database of children with traumatic brain injury (R programming skills required)
- Prepare data for submission to the Database of Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP)
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation of data curation procedures and automate processes for future database changes / growth
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations summarizing workflows and findings
Requirements :
- High school diploma
- Proficiency in the R programming language
- Strong attention to detail is a must
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
Recommendations :
- Bachelor's degree / Master's student status is a plus
- Familiarity with clinical databases, data curation, and data wrangling is a plus
This is a part-time / temporary position.
