This position is contingent upon award of contract.

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care within our healthcare organization.

The Director of Nursing will be responsible for managing nursing operations, developing nursing policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism among nursing staff.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic nursing leader to make a significant impact on patient outcomes and the overall quality of care.

Key responsibilities

  • Nursing Leadership : Provide visionary leadership to the nursing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
  • Clinical Oversight : Oversee all nursing operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, best practices, and organizational policies
  • Patient Care Quality : Lead efforts to continuously monitor and improve the quality of patient care, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction within nursing units.
  • Staffing and Scheduling : Develop and implement staffing plans and schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal utilization of nursing resources
  • Training and Development : Provide leadership and support for nursing education and training programs, promoting the professional development and competency of nursing staff
  • Performance Management : Establish performance metrics and standards for nursing staff, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback and coaching to support individual growth and development
  • Collaboration : Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, allied health professionals, and administrators, to coordinate patient care and achieve organizational goals
  • Quality Improvement : Lead quality improvement initiatives within nursing units, analyzing data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing evidence-based strategies to enhance patient care and safety

Qualification

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Proven leadership experience in nursing management or supervisory roles, with at least X years of experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical background with expertise in nursing practice, patient care delivery, and quality improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of nursing regulations, standards of practice, and accreditation requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and excellence in nursing practice.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare technology preferred.
