Accounting Clerk
P osition Overview
- Join our team as an Accounting Clerk, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the finance department by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with financial operations.
- Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this position offers an opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk Role
- Record and analyze financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Support payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
Preferred Skills and Experience for the Accounting Clerk Role
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in accounting or a related role is beneficial.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
