JOB SUMMARY

- As an Automated Systems Technician in Racine, Wisconsin, you will : set up and operate all automated manufacturing systems and associated equipment;
- perform routine repair activities using specific repair and maintenance techniques and practices; assist outside vendors or contractors to maintain, repair, or upgrade equipment;
- coordinate required maintenance for all machines within assigned area; ensure proper safety procedures are in use at all times;
- perform equipment start-up and shutdown; respond to emergency breakdowns as required; full use of PM methods in planned and unplanned maintenance requests;
- have a full understanding of computer-controlled machine programming, including working knowledge of PLC and in-depth understanding of programmable controllers;
assist in the installation of new equipment and sub-assemblies and complete equipment rebuilds, and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with PLC interface / programming required
- Basic robotics knowledge required
- Technical training in electrical, electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, or PLC required; two or more areas strongly preferred
- Preventative machine maintenance skills preferred
