About The Position
Pay Rate : $3000 - 3400 Weekly
Job Title : Cardiac Sonographer
Location : St. Paul, MN
Length of Assignment : 25 weeks
Shift : 40 hours
Shift Schedule : 8 HRS ( 06 : 45AM-03 : 15PM; 07 : 45AM-4 : 15PM)
Weekend Rotation : rotating Every 6 to 7 weekends
On-call Requirements : Every 4th weekend, Saturday and Sunday only, 7am-12pm
Holidays Requirements : no major holidays
Floating Requirements : as needed within unit.
Job Summary
- Knowledge of electrocardiography and arrhythmias and conduction disturbance.
- Knowledge of sterile technique.
- Knowledge of mathematical principles including algebra.
- Knowledge of how to use defibrillator and crash cart.
- Ability to effectively perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Ability to work effectively with critically ill / injured adult patients.
- Ability to gain optimal cooperation from adult patients.
- Ability to recognize and properly deal with medical emergencies.
- Ability to recognize and report equipment problems and malfunctions.
- Ability to carry out basic clerical activities.
Education, Certification and Requirement
- Licensed Required : RDCS and ARDMS; must have upon submission.
- Certificates Required : CPR or BLS
- Graduation from an accredited Non-Invasive Cardiology Technology program.
- Minimum of 2 years Cardiac in hospital setting
